Wow where has the time gone

Not too much sewing has been going on here. We got MIL moved into her Assisted Living facility and I am now pretty much back into the sewing room. Kathy came to visit for a week which felt more like one or two days. We miss you Kathy!
While Kathy was here I embroidered a ready made travel pillow case for her but it was awful. I did not stabilize it very well and it came out very messy. Today I finished a new pillow case that I sewed from scratch and it is much nicer. I think she will like the design since she is so into fairies and such.


I was really pleased with how the design stitched out since it was a free one from Sew Forum. It has a lot of stitches and took about 3 hours to sew out with all the thread changes and trimming the jump stitches. I will be sending this out to her soon since she knows I am doing it for her.
